		<abstract>UAV (unmade Aerial Vehicle) platforms have been used to acquire low cost high resolution images and to perform many studies of geoinformation extraction using Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing approaches. Nowadays due to the operational ability to realize an aerial survey for small areas, an UAV platform became the best cost benefit to acquire high spatial and temporal resolution images for Remote Sensing applications. This paper presents a study done in order to detect environmental changes on the Floresta community area, caused by an environmental disaster in Serra do Mar - State of Paraná in March of 2011. The proposed methodology to detect the environmental changes used a WorldView image, showing the environmental conditions at the region in July of 2011 and a block of images taken from an UAV platform in December of 2011. The obtained results from the performed experiments, showed that UAV images can be used to perform accurate visual analyzes and to detect the environmental alterations in the study region.</abstract>
